Most conventional palletizing robots move their arms through belt and pulley transmissions. Belts are effective, but they are consumables: they stretch, slip, and eventually break, typically on a six-month cycle in continuous operation.
Direct-drive palletizing replaces that linkage with precision motors coupled straight to the joint. There is no belt to wear, no periodic replacement, and no gradual loss of positioning accuracy as the belt ages. The result is steadier cycle times and a dramatically lower maintenance burden.
As the first company in China to develop and manufacture direct-drive palletizing robots, we have watched the difference play out on real factory floors: fewer unplanned stops, lower spare-parts inventory, and a robot that performs in month eighteen as it did in month one.
